1. The Ethics Review Committee (ERC) of the Ministry of Health, the National Unity Government was formed on May 8, 2022 for the purpose that the researchers and responsible persons of the research to ensure the safety and rights including privacy, confidentiality and autonomy of the people participating in the research and to provide the necessary guidance to researchers and participants of the research.
2. The responsibilities of the Ethics Review Committee (ERC) are as follows: a) To review the human research and health related research conducted by the healthcare workers from the hospitals and health departments under the Ministry of Health and other related health professionals, 2 medical and allied medical universities under the Ministry of Education, agencies of the United Nations, Non-Governmental Organizations/ International Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs/ INGOs) and International Health Institutions. Analysis will be based on all the aspects such as research ethics, professionalism, practicability, existing laws, policies and procedures.
