1. On 31st May 2022, the army of the terrorist military council arbitrarily detained Ko Aung Ko Lin @ Ko Ban, Public Health Supervisor – 2, CDM healthcare worker of Saw Township, Magway Division, together with 4 people from the general public in Si Mee village tract, Laung Shay Area, Saw Township. Two days after his unlawful detention, on 2nd June 2022, Ko Aung Ko Lin lost his life during his questioning under torture at an investigation centre of the military council. The fallen Ko Aung Ko Lin is survived by his wife who is also a CDM member of the education department.
2. In May 2022, Insecurity Insight published a set of data from 1st February 2021 to 31st March 2022 which showed that there were 492 incidents of assault on healthcare workers, clinics and hospitals, ambulances and healthcare activities by the military that instigated the coup. According to the data, the terrorist military council arbitrarily arrested 564 healthcare workers, 126 clinics and hospitals were raided and ransacked, 36 healthcare workers killed. 3. The Ministry of Health, National Unity Government of Myanmar stands together with and offers our condolences to the families of all those who have fallen including Ko Aung Ko Linโs. The Ministry also vows to seek judicial redress for the lives of those innocent members of the public and the healthcare workers. We pledge that the terrorist military council and its lackeys see justice served on them and that the military dictatorship is uprooted and we will, together with the public, strive towards building a Federal Democratic Union.
