Private Sectors Partnerships
Unlawful control of the regime offers unprecedented opportunities for private health service providers for preparing their service readiness to deliver essential health services and can lay the ground for meaningful public-private partnerships once the federal health system is enacted.
In order to provide the basic health needs of the country during this period, some possible strategies for private sectors, but not limited to, are as follows.
- Local GP clinics play as a primary point of care and coordinate with private health facilities for secondary and tertiary care.
- Telehealth companies introduce adaptive teleconsultations and remote dispensing strategies, leveraging their existing telehealth platforms.
- Private health facilities introduce affordable and/or co-payment health services, in partnership with non-profit and social enterprises for helping poor and vulnerable people overcome financial barriers.
